Employees of Samarkand State Medical University visited Leeds University of Great Britain as part of the "FOR21" project program

  The 3-10 of March of this year, a delegation of Samarkand State Medical University employees visited Leeds University, located in Leeds, Great Britain. During the visit within the framework of the "FOR21" project, the employees of the Samarkand State Medical University got to know the activities of the higher education institution, which is considered one of the largest universities in Great Britain and ranks high in the world and European rankings, and the conditions created there. Also, a tour of the university was organized and the library and its literature were seen.

  During the visit, the "FOR21" project program and related information were listened to and analyzed. For information, it should be said that the goal of the project is to support the development of educational strategies aimed at improving the communication between the doctor and the patient, training programs for the creation of communicative competences, and social responsibility. The "FOR21" project is a consortium of nine higher educational institutions, 3 of which are from Europe, 2 from Russia, 2 from Uzbekistan, and 2 from Kazakhstan.

  The goals and objectives of the project, implemented in 2023, and achievements were recognized. The final report on the project was heard and future tasks were determined. The delegation of Samarkand State Medical University took an active part in the project work. The management of the University of Leeds, in particular, the chief coordinator of the project, Professor Anna-Marie Rieds, expressed great gratitude to Professor J. A. Rizayev for cooperation and expressed great interest in further development of relations.
