The participation of students in the work of scientific circles is an integral part of the educational process in the work of the faculty. It has more than 250 students. The materials of research papers are published annually at the conference of young scientists of the university, and the best works are awarded annually at interuniversity scientific conferences, at which more than 10 prizes are awarded. This allows the dean's office, after receiving postgraduate education, to consider assigning nominal scholarships to students, holding a competition for scientific work, advanced training abroad and similar recommendations. 

    On December 16-17, 2022, Samarkand State Medical University held an Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions “Samarkand-2020”. The Olympiad was attended by students from different universities in different disciplines. According to its results, the participants of the student scientific society at the departments of the Faculty of Medical Prevention, Public Health and Medical Biology received more than 20 prizes. Currently, the departments of the Faculty of Medical Prevention, Public Health and Medical Biology include: Department of Public Health and Health Management, Department of General Hygiene and Ecology, Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology, Department of Medical Biology and Genetics, Department of Physiology, Department of Pathological Physiology, Department of Human Anatomy, Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy, the Department of Histology, Cytology and Embryology, the Department of Hygiene and the Department of Epidemiology, the circle of the student scientific society is actively working.
